Help pass the Employee Free Choice Act

Handwrite a letter

Our Labor Council, affiliates and allies have collected nearly 2,500 handwritten letters (as of May 19, 2009) addressed to Feinstein in support of the Employee Free Choice Act!

Our strategy in targeting Feinstein with handwritten letters is simple. If you have a pen, paper, envelope, stamp and five minutes, you can participate.

Affiliate’s members and allies should write a short three to four sentence handwritten letter to Feinstein about the importance of the Employee Free Choice Act and why union membership benefits workers. Please send the letter to Feinstein (Senator Dianne Feinstein, One Post Street #2450, San Francisco, CA 94104) and send us a copy of the letter through mail (Sacramento Central Labor Council, 2840 El Centro Road #111, Sacramento, CA 95833) or by fax (916-927-1643). It is important we get copies of all letters so we can document our progress.

Participation from our affiliates is critical and we are lucky to have many dedicated unions on board.
